DPD Fulfilment UK vs PULPO WMS Warehouse Managementfor Shopify (2026)
DPD Fulfilment UK and PULPO WMS Warehouse Management both aim to optimize fulfillment for Shopify merchants but take fundamentally different approaches. DPD Fulfilment UK is a third-party logistics (3PL) solution that outsources the entire fulfillment process to DPD's network. It focuses on automating order processing, warehousing, and shipping through DPD's infrastructure, providing a hands-off approach for merchants. PULPO WMS, on the other hand, is a warehouse management system designed for merchants who want to manage their own internal warehouse operations. It prioritizes internal process optimization, inventory accuracy, and employee efficiency within the merchant's existing warehouse. The key difference lies in the level of control. DPD Fulfilment UK offers complete outsourcing, ideal for merchants seeking minimal involvement in the fulfillment process. PULPO WMS provides the tools and structure to manage the fulfillment process internally, which is better for merchants who value having a direct hand in their warehousing and fulfillment operations and/or have specific inventory management needs. While both aim to improve efficiency, DPD achieves this through outsourcing and automation by leveraging DPD infrastructure, whereas PULPO achieves it through process optimization and improved inventory management in an internal warehouse setting.

Our Verdict
The choice between DPD Fulfilment UK and PULPO WMS hinges on a merchant's fulfillment strategy. If a merchant wants to completely outsource fulfillment and leverage a established delivery network like DPD's for next-day delivery, DPD Fulfilment UK is the clear choice. This is best for smaller businesses or those who value speed and convenience over control.
However, if a merchant has existing warehouse infrastructure, wants to retain control over their fulfillment processes, requires advanced inventory management (like tracking expiration dates or serial numbers), or needs to optimize their internal warehouse workflows, PULPO WMS is the superior option. This is often true for larger businesses with established fulfillment processes who need to increase efficiency.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
DPD Fulfilment UK likely offers a simpler initial setup as it involves connecting your store to DPD's existing infrastructure. PULPO WMS requires more setup initially as the merchant needs to configure the warehouse layout and workflows within the system. PULPO mitigates this with the no-code web wizard.
Which app is more suitable for a small business?
DPD Fulfilment UK is generally more suitable for small businesses that want to outsource fulfillment and don't have the resources to manage their own warehouse.
Which app provides more control over the fulfillment process?
PULPO WMS provides significantly more control over the fulfillment process as it allows merchants to manage every aspect of their internal warehouse operations.
Which app is better for businesses with complex inventory needs?
PULPO WMS is better suited for businesses with complex inventory needs, such as managing expiration dates, serial numbers, and product rotation.
Which app handles shipping and delivery?
DPD Fulfilment UK handles shipping and delivery through DPD's network. PULPO WMS prepares the orders for shipping but relies on the merchant to integrate with a shipping carrier or handle the logistics themselves.
