Our Verdict
For merchants needing to offer various product options and charge accordingly without negotiation, DPO Dynamic Product Options is likely the better choice. The higher number of reviews suggests a more mature and potentially stable app. Huskify ‑ Request for Quote is better suited for businesses where custom pricing, negotiation, and building a direct relationship with the customer through quote requests are essential. However, the low number of reviews warrants careful consideration; merchants should thoroughly test the app before full deployment. If your business model depends on flexible pricing and direct negotiation with customers, Huskify is worth exploring despite the limited user feedback.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the information available, it's difficult to definitively say. The large number of reviews for DPO Dynamic Product Options suggests more user familiarity, but ease of use depends on the specific app implementations which aren't detailed in their descriptions. Huskify has the form builder feature, which might add complexity to set up.
Which app is better for increasing average order value?
Both apps can potentially increase average order value, but in different ways. DPO can increase it by providing more options that customers are willing to pay for. Huskify can increase it by allowing merchants to negotiate higher prices with customers willing to pay a premium for personalized service or unique products.
Can I use both apps at the same time?
Potentially, but it might create a confusing customer experience. It would depend on how you configure each app and how the customer navigates your store. If product customization is core to your business, and negotiation is a second step in the sales flow, it might be beneficial to combine them. But it may be less useful if the two are conflicting.
Which app provides better customer support?
The descriptions don't provide information about customer support. Reviewing the apps on the Shopify App Store would be crucial to determining which one offers better support, as more reviews may reveal more information about responsiveness and helpfulness.
Which app has a more proven track record?
DPO Dynamic Product Options has a significantly more proven track record, due to its much larger number of reviews (290 vs 2). This suggests a longer period of use, more feedback, and potentially a more stable and well-supported app.
