DPO Dynamic Product Options vs MultiPrice: Custom POS Pricingfor Shopify (2026)
DPO Dynamic Product Options and MultiPrice: Custom POS Pricing both address pricing concerns for Shopify merchants, but target fundamentally different needs. DPO focuses on enhancing product customization through dynamic options, likely appealing to stores selling personalized or configurable goods. Its significantly higher rating (5/5) and much larger review base (290) suggest widespread user satisfaction and reliability, though it's important to note that no specific features are offered to elaborate on the types of product options offered, like add-ons or custom text. MultiPrice, on the other hand, specifically addresses the complexities of managing pricing discrepancies between online stores and physical POS locations. Its core value proposition is streamlined pricing management across multiple channels without cumbersome workarounds. MultiPrice caters to merchants operating both an online store and physical POS locations, offering the ability to set different prices per location or product variant. This is especially valuable for businesses with fluctuating overhead costs or those needing to tailor pricing to local market conditions. While its rating (4/5) is still positive, the small number of reviews (4) indicate that it's either a newer app or serves a more niche market. DPO’s high reviews suggest it’s more established and addresses a broader issue. Thus, its usage is more common amongst Shopify store owners.

Our Verdict
The choice between DPO Dynamic Product Options and MultiPrice hinges entirely on the merchant's specific needs. If the primary goal is to offer highly customizable products with various options and add-ons, DPO Dynamic Product Options, with its impressive rating and large review base, appears to be the superior choice. Its popularity signals a user-friendly experience and effective functionality for this specific purpose.
However, for businesses that operate both an online store and one or more physical POS locations and need to manage different pricing strategies across these channels, MultiPrice: Custom POS Pricing is the clear winner. Its feature set is explicitly designed to address this challenge, enabling merchants to set location-specific prices, avoid discount workarounds, and maintain accurate inventory across all channels. While it has fewer reviews, its specialized functionality is invaluable for omnichannel businesses seeking pricing consistency and control.
