DPO Dynamic Product Options vs Request a Quote & Hide Pricesfor Shopify (2026)
DPO Dynamic Product Options and Request a Quote & Hide Prices both operate within the 'Pricing' and 'Pricing quotes' categories on the Shopify app store, indicating a shared focus on pricing strategies for merchants. However, the available data suggests significantly different core functionalities and target audiences. DPO Dynamic Product Options (DPO) appears positioned to enhance product customization by offering dynamic options, improving customer experience and potentially increasing average order value. The substantial review count (290) suggests it is a mature app with a well-established user base. Request a Quote & Hide Prices, on the other hand, seems geared towards a different segment. Its core value lies in providing merchants the ability to hide prices and solicit quotes from potential buyers. This is commonly used in B2B environments or when dealing with products requiring custom pricing based on specific customer needs or order quantities. While its rating is also 5/5, the extremely low number of reviews (1) raises concerns about the reliability and widespread adoption of this app. This suggests it may be a niche solution with limited feedback or a very new app.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily engaged in B2C sales and aiming to enhance product customization, DPO Dynamic Product Options appears to be the stronger choice. The high number of positive reviews provides a greater degree of confidence in its functionality and reliability. Furthermore, dynamic product options are a popular and often expected feature in B2C e-commerce in 2026.
Request a Quote & Hide Prices would be suitable for merchants engaged in B2B sales or selling complex, high-value products where individual price negotiation is essential. However, the lack of reviews makes it a riskier choice, requiring careful evaluation before implementation. Merchants must be prepared to potentially troubleshoot issues without substantial community support.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Without access to the apps themselves, it's difficult to definitively say which is easier to set up. However, the higher number of reviews for DPO Dynamic Product Options suggests a larger user base and potentially more readily available documentation or tutorials, which could indirectly indicate a smoother setup process. However, the Request a Quote app potentially has less functionality making it simpler.
Which app is more reliable?
DPO Dynamic Product Options is likely more reliable due to the significantly higher number of reviews. This indicates that more users have tested and vetted the app over time, increasing the likelihood of identifying and resolving bugs or issues. Request a Quote & Hide Prices's single review provides little data to assess reliability.
If I want to offer bulk discounts, which app is better?
Based on the names and general categories, Request a Quote & Hide Prices is likely the better option for offering bulk discounts, as it focuses on enabling custom price quotes which are often tied to order volume. DPO Dynamic Product Options is more focused on modifications to individual product features rather than order-wide changes like bulk pricing.
Which app will increase my average order value?
DPO Dynamic Product Options is more likely to directly increase your average order value by allowing customers to add more features and customizations to their products. Request a Quote & Hide Prices has the *potential* to increase AOV, but indirectly through strategic price negotiation.
Which app focuses on customer relationships?
Request a Quote & Hide Prices focuses more on customer relationships because it requires direct interaction and negotiation with potential buyers. It can be used to begin conversations and provide custom pricing. DPO Dynamic Product Options does affect customer experience, but it is not as inherently relational.
