DPO Dynamic Product Options vs Retailed Size Chart & Guidefor Shopify (2026)
DPO Dynamic Product Options and Retailed Size Chart & Guide, both achieving a perfect 5/5 rating, cater to Shopify merchants within the 'Custom products' and 'Product variants' categories. However, they address distinctly different needs. DPO Dynamic Product Options appears to be a more comprehensive solution for creating customizable products by allowing for a wide array of options beyond size. Its substantial number of reviews (290) suggests a larger user base and potentially a more robust feature set, or a longer history in the Shopify app store. On the other hand, Retailed Size Chart & Guide, with only 17 reviews, focuses on simplifying the often complex process of providing accurate sizing information to customers. This specificity implies a stronger focus on apparel or related product categories where size variation is a primary concern. Despite both apps fitting into the Custom Product and Product Variant spaces, DPO appears to appeal to a broader merchant base seeking highly customized options, while Retailed caters specifically to apparel businesses. Therefore, the apps' overlapping categories can be misleading without considering the core feature sets and target audiences of the apps.

Our Verdict
Choosing between DPO Dynamic Product Options and Retailed Size Chart & Guide depends heavily on your business needs. If you require extensive customization options for a wide range of products beyond just sizing, DPO Dynamic Product Options is the clear winner, even though its set-up may require more learning. The higher number of reviews suggests it's been time-tested and more broadly applicable. However, for apparel or fashion businesses whose primary need is to accurately guide customers on sizing and reduce returns due to incorrect size selection, Retailed Size Chart & Guide is the more specialized and likely more user-friendly choice. In many cases, both apps could be installed simultaneously, but for budget-conscious merchants, choosing the app whose primary function best matches the problem you're solving is advised.
