DPO Dynamic Product Options vs Wholesale Discount Pro B2B Appfor Shopify (2026)
DPO Dynamic Product Options and Wholesale Discount Pro B2B App both operate within the Pricing category on Shopify, allowing merchants to customize pricing and potentially offer quotes. However, their core focuses differ significantly. DPO Dynamic Product Options, as the name suggests, centers on enhancing product customization by enabling complex product options. Wholesale Discount Pro B2B App, conversely, prioritizes offering wholesale discounts and B2B-specific functionalities. This distinction implies different target audiences: DPO aims for businesses needing advanced product configurators, while Wholesale Discount Pro targets merchants engaged in wholesale and B2B commerce. The large discrepancy in review count (290 vs. 8) suggests DPO may have a larger user base or has been available longer. While both boast perfect 5-star ratings, the sample size is substantially different, making a direct comparison of customer satisfaction difficult based on this data alone.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking to provide detailed and customizable product options to their customers (potentially for personalized products or products with many variants), DPO Dynamic Product Options is likely the better choice, given its focus and higher review count (indicating broader adoption). However, for merchants specifically targeting wholesale or B2B customers and needing robust discounting and B2B features, Wholesale Discount Pro B2B App is the more suitable option, despite the lower review count. It's crucial to assess the specific business needs; a merchant selling primarily standard products with few customization options would gain little from DPO, while a merchant selling custom-built goods would likely find Wholesale Discount Pro lacking.
Common Questions
Which app is better for increasing average order value?
Both apps can potentially increase AOV, but through different mechanisms. DPO Dynamic Product Options encourages customers to add features and upgrades to their products, directly increasing AOV. Wholesale Discount Pro B2B App encourages larger bulk orders through discounts, indirectly increasing AOV.
Which app is easier to integrate into an existing Shopify store?
Without direct usage data, it's impossible to definitively say. However, Wholesale Discount Pro B2B App might be easier to integrate as it likely involves configuring discount rules rather than modifying product templates, like DPO Dynamic Product Options may require for specific use cases.
Which app has better customer support?
The review count of DPO Dynamic Product Options is much higher. This might suggest greater exposure to customer issues and potentially more robust customer support resources. However, the small sample size for Wholesale Discount Pro B2B App makes it difficult to judge support quality.
Which app is more suited for a dropshipping store?
DPO Dynamic Product Options could be useful if the dropshipped products require extensive customization. Wholesale Discount Pro B2B App would be less relevant unless the dropshipper is fulfilling bulk orders for other businesses.
If I need both product customization AND wholesale discounts, can I use both apps?
Potentially, but it is important to test compatibility between apps in a development environment first. There may be conflicts in how they modify the cart or product pages. Carefully evaluate if the combined cost and potential integration challenges outweigh the benefits.
