DPromotion vs Gatsby: Convert Your Followersfor Shopify (2026)
DPromotion and Gatsby: Convert Your Followers both fall under the 'Giveaways and Contests' category on the Shopify app store, but their current offerings and user perception appear drastically different. Gatsby focuses on converting Instagram followers into email and SMS subscribers, offering features like automated Instagram giveaways, campaigns via DMs, and integrations with platforms like Klaviyo, Attentive, Smile, LoyaltyLion, Yotpo, and Stamped for email/SMS marketing and loyalty programs. It explicitly targets merchants who want to leverage Instagram for list growth and engagement, offering tools for ambassador management and user-generated content (UGC) utilization. DPromotion, on the other hand, has no ratings or reviews, suggesting it's either very new, unpopular, or has encountered challenges gaining traction. The lack of user feedback makes it impossible to assess its features, ease of use, or reliability. Gatsby's established presence with a perfect 5/5 rating based on 110 reviews indicates a level of user satisfaction and a proven track record in delivering on its promises of faster list growth and improved engagement. Its key value proposition revolves around streamlining the process of acquiring and engaging customers through Instagram and connecting these interactions with established marketing and loyalty platforms.

Our Verdict
Given the current data, Gatsby: Convert Your Followers is the clear choice for Shopify merchants looking to leverage Instagram for list growth, engagement, and sales. Its high rating, significant number of positive reviews, and clearly defined feature set make it a much safer and more reliable option than DPromotion, which lacks any user feedback or evidence of functionality.
DPromotion might be considered only if a merchant has a very specific need not addressed by Gatsby, and is willing to take a significant risk on an unproven app. Otherwise, Gatsby's established track record and robust feature set make it the recommended option for merchants prioritizing Instagram marketing and customer engagement through email, SMS, and loyalty programs.
