DRIP: Returns For Sale Widget vs Monocle AI inventory forecastsfor Shopify (2026)
DRIP: Returns For Sale Widget and Monocle AI inventory forecasts both boast a perfect 5/5 rating on the Shopify App Store, however, they cater to vastly different needs within the inventory optimization category. DRIP focuses on maximizing revenue from open box or returned items by enabling merchants to sell them directly on their product pages. Its strength lies in its ease of use, customizable branding options, and its ability to seamlessly integrate with existing product catalogs. This makes it ideal for merchants who struggle to effectively liquidate returned or slightly damaged goods. Monocle AI, on the other hand, provides AI-driven inventory forecasting. The key distinction lies in their core functionalities. DRIP is designed to improve returns management and sales through direct marketing of returned items. It addresses the pain point of lost revenue associated with products that cannot be sold as new. Monocle AI, based on its name, tackles the forecasting aspect of inventory management, enabling merchants to make informed decisions regarding procurement and storage. While both apps indirectly optimize inventory, they do so from opposite ends of the spectrum – one by improving outflow of otherwise unsaleable products and the other by predicting future demand for accurate inflow of new products.
