Our Verdict
DRIP: Returns For Sale Widget is ideal for merchants who have a substantial volume of open-box, damaged, or refurbished items that they want to sell directly to customers. Its strength lies in providing a transparent and customizable way to sell these items, maximizing their value and maintaining a direct customer relationship. PMO: ProtectMyOrder, on the other hand, is a better fit for merchants who want to boost their Average Order Value (AOV) and improve customer experience by offering premium services at checkout. It's an effective way to generate additional revenue and provide added value to customers without directly managing the logistics of returns themselves.
Common Questions
Which app helps me reduce return volume?
Neither app directly reduces return volume. PMO: ProtectMyOrder offers options like free returns to improve the return experience, whereas DRIP focuses on selling items that are already returns or 'not new' items.
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim easy setup: DRIP boasts quick posting and PMO claims a 9-click setup. Actual user experience may vary, but both are marketed as user-friendly.
Which app provides direct customer support?
DRIP explicitly highlights an 'obsession' with customer service, offering phone, text, chat, and video support. PMO doesn't specifically detail support channels in its description.
Does DRIP handle the claim process for damaged returns?
No, DRIP facilitates the sale of already returned or not-new items, assuming the merchant has already processed the return. PMO, on the other hand, requires the merchant to handle all claims.
Which app is better for international sales?
DRIP offers multi-currency support and an AI-enhanced translation feature, making it arguably better suited for international sales compared to PMO, which does not explicitly mention international features.
