DRIP: Returns For Sale Widget vs Shipping Protection —Shipcheckfor Shopify (2026)
DRIP: Returns For Sale Widget and Shipping Protection —Shipcheck are both highly rated (5/5) Shopify apps aimed at improving revenue and customer experience, but they address completely different business needs. DRIP focuses on maximizing revenue from returned or imperfect items by providing a user-friendly widget to sell them directly on the product page. It's aimed at merchants who have returned, damaged, or open-box inventory they want to liquidate effectively. It features AI-enhanced translation and customizable branding. In contrast, Shipping Protection —Shipcheck empowers merchants to offer their own shipping insurance, allowing them to retain the insurance revenue instead of losing it to third-party providers. Shipping Protection —Shipcheck aims to build customer trust and offset the costs of lost, damaged, or stolen packages. It's suitable for businesses experiencing significant shipping-related losses or those looking to offer customers added peace of mind and potentially increase average order value through tiered insurance pricing. Although both apps operate within the Returns and Warranty Shopify category, they cater to vastly different pain points in the e-commerce process: inventory management vs. shipping logistics and risk mitigation.

Our Verdict
The choice between DRIP: Returns For Sale Widget and Shipping Protection —Shipcheck depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs. If a merchant struggles with managing and selling returned or open-box items, DRIP is the clear choice. Its focus on quickly and cleanly listing these items, coupled with customization options and strong support, makes it ideal for maximizing revenue from these often-overlooked assets.
On the other hand, if shipping losses (damaged, lost, or stolen packages) are a significant concern or if the merchant wants to offer customers shipping insurance and retain the revenue, then Shipping Protection —Shipcheck is the better solution. It allows merchants to build customer trust and offset shipping costs while potentially generating additional revenue from insurance premiums.
