Dropdash vs MyDesigns: Print on Demandfor Shopify (2026)
Dropdash and MyDesigns: Print on Demand offer distinct sourcing options for Shopify merchants in 2026. Dropdash focuses on traditional dropshipping within India, connecting resellers, particularly homemakers in Tier II, III, and IV cities, with manufacturers and wholesalers for various product categories. Its strength lies in sourcing trendy products, managing inventory, orders, shipping, and order tracking specifically within the Indian market. The app emphasizes leveraging social networks for resale. MyDesigns: Print on Demand, on the other hand, specializes in print-on-demand (POD) services, enabling merchants to create, publish, sell, and fulfill custom products at scale. It emphasizes ease of use with features like a premium mockup generator and bulk publishing capabilities. Its value proposition centers around saving time and enhancing sales through customized product offerings. MyDesigns does not appear to be geographically restricted to any specific region, and it is more appropriate for merchants who want to sell custom designs on a wide range of products. The two apps primarily compete in the general 'Sourcing options' category but serve fundamentally different merchant needs. Dropdash's appeal is mainly for users focused on dropshipping in the Indian market, while MyDesigns caters to those interested in creating a print-on-demand business with custom product designs and global fulfillment.

Our Verdict
If you're an Indian reseller, especially a homemaker in Tier II, III, or IV cities, looking for trendy products to dropship via social networks, Dropdash is the more suitable option, despite its lower rating and fewer reviews. It caters specifically to your market and needs. However, if you are looking to sell custom designs on a variety of products through a print-on-demand model, MyDesigns: Print on Demand is the stronger choice. Its higher rating, more reviews, and feature set are more aligned with your requirements. The choice really hinges on whether you're dropshipping versus print-on-demand and if you're focusing on the Indian market.
Common Questions
Which app is better for beginners?
MyDesigns: Print on Demand appears to be more beginner-friendly due to its emphasis on ease of use with features like the mockup generator and bulk publishing. Dropdash caters to the dropshipping model which might be easier to begin from but is based around the Indian market.
Which app offers better profit margins?
Profit margins depend heavily on the products chosen and pricing strategies. However, MyDesigns: Print on Demand potentially allows for higher margins due to the unique custom products it offers, providing greater control over pricing. Dropdash margins are potentially tighter due to traditional dropshipping markups.
Which app provides more product variety?
Dropdash suggests a wide array of products from various categories as described in the description. MyDesigns: Print on Demand provides product variety from the designs you add to custom products that could include a range of t-shirts, mugs, and more.
How reliable is shipping with each app?
Dropdash highlights 'Reliable Shipping' as a key feature. MyDesigns: Print on Demand doesn't explicitly guarantee reliable shipping; it guarantees fulfillment, and the reliability likely depends on their chosen fulfillment partners. Therefore, the reliability of shipping for MyDesigns depends on their shipping partners' quality.
Which app is more scalable?
MyDesigns: Print on Demand is likely more scalable, as its focus is on creating, publishing, and fulfilling products at scale, highlighted through its bulk publishing feature. Dropdash focuses more on the Indian market which would make it less scalable worldwide.
