DSers‑AliExpress Dropshipping vs Selfnamed: Cosmetics on demandfor Shopify (2026)
DSers‑AliExpress Dropshipping and Selfnamed: Cosmetics on demand both operate within the Dropshipping and Sourcing Options categories on Shopify, but cater to vastly different segments of the market. DSers is positioned as a comprehensive AliExpress dropshipping solution designed for merchants looking to automate and scale their businesses. It emphasizes bulk order processing, supplier optimization, and product management from AliExpress, making it ideal for those seeking efficiency and a broad product catalog. Selfnamed: Cosmetics on demand, on the other hand, focuses on a niche market: cosmetics. While the specific value proposition isn't as detailed, the app name suggests a focus on providing cosmetics dropshipping, potentially with on-demand manufacturing or private label options. The significantly lower rating and substantially fewer reviews compared to DSers indicate it may be a newer app or targetting a specific niche where fewer users require such an application. Based on the data provided, DSers is aimed at merchants seeking a broad range of products and automation capabilities, while Selfnamed is likely aimed at a more focused audience looking for cosmetics-specific solutions, perhaps even those looking for custom formulations.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants looking for a general dropshipping solution with robust automation features and a wide selection of products from AliExpress, DSers‑AliExpress Dropshipping is the clear choice. The app's higher rating and vast number of positive reviews suggest a reliable and effective platform. Merchants wanting to scale operations and manage hundreds of orders should prioritize DSers.
However, if a merchant is specifically focused on the cosmetics niche and prefers a tailored solution – perhaps with opportunities for private labeling or on-demand customization – Selfnamed: Cosmetics on demand could be worth exploring. Though keep in mind, there is not a lot of public data on this app, which might present some risks. New cosmetics dropshipping stores may want to still evaluate the other platforms. The data favors DSers for almost all merchants, but Selfnamed may offer something targeted to specific cosmetic niches not revealed in the store listing.
