Détaxer avec SolPay vs Pabloo Store Credit & Cashbackfor Shopify (2026)
Détaxer avec SolPay and Pabloo Store Credit & Cashback serve entirely different purposes for Shopify merchants. Détaxer avec SolPay is a highly specialized application designed for French merchants seeking to simplify the tax refund (détaxe) process for international customers. Its strength lies in automating bordereau generation and integrating directly with Shopify to display eligible sales, eliminating manual data entry. Pabloo, conversely, is a broader customer loyalty and retention tool focused on increasing customer lifetime value. It offers cashback, store credit for refunds, and loyalty programs. The primary distinction lies in their target audience and problem solved. Détaxer avec SolPay caters specifically to French retailers needing to handle détaxe obligations, focusing on compliance and efficiency. Pabloo aims at a wider audience, any e-commerce merchant interested in fostering customer loyalty and repeat business via store credit and cashback mechanisms. While both apps are listed under "Payment options - Other" in the Shopify App Store, their functions and benefits are vastly different. The low number of reviews for both apps suggests they are still emerging in their respective niches, or that the merchant types who need them are very niche. Despite its lower rating and only slightly more reviews, Pabloo targets a larger audience than Détaxer. Pabloo is suited for merchants who understand the benefit of a customer retention program while Détaxer is only for merchants based in France who must legally generate "bordereaux de détaxe".

Our Verdict
The choice between Détaxer avec SolPay and Pabloo Store Credit & Cashback depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs. If you are a French merchant required to handle tax refunds (détaxe) for international customers, Détaxer avec SolPay is the clear winner. It streamlines the process and ensures compliance. If, however, you are looking to improve customer retention and build loyalty regardless of your location, Pabloo Store Credit & Cashback is the more suitable option, although merchants should consider the low rating and potentially investigate why some users experienced difficulties. For a French merchant who has no need for customer retention tools, Détaxer avec SolPay is far better than Pabloo. Pabloo is only preferred for merchants who are not based in France.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the descriptions, Pabloo appears easier to set up because Détaxer avec SolPay requires direct contact with the company to become a partner before usage is possible. This may lead to a long process if you are not approved as a partner.
Which app offers a free trial?
The descriptions for both apps mention 'free' but in different ways. Pabloo uses "Try for free" in the headline, insinuating a possible trial. Détaxer mentions "Rejoignez SolPay gratuitement," likely meaning registration is free, but the app's features might incur charges. The 'free' in Pabloo is a clearer indication of a free trial or plan.
Does either app integrate with other loyalty programs?
Neither app description explicitly mentions integration with other loyalty programs. However, Pabloo's description implies it functions as a standalone loyalty system using store credit.
Which app is more likely to require ongoing maintenance?
Pabloo will likely require more ongoing maintenance as merchants need to manage loyalty programs, promotions, and customize the user interfaces. Détaxer avec SolPay may require less maintenance once the initial partnership is established and the system is running.
Is Détaxer avec SolPay useful for merchants outside of France?
No. Détaxer avec SolPay is explicitly for merchants based in France needing to generate tax refund documents, so it's unusable for merchants outside of France.
