E! ‑ Loyalty Program & Rewards vs Referral Candy & Affiliatefor Shopify (2026)
E! ‑ Loyalty Program & Rewards and Referral Candy & Affiliate both aim to boost sales through customer loyalty, but their approaches differ significantly. E! focuses on building comprehensive, customizable loyalty programs with points, referrals, and VIP tiers, positioning itself as an all-in-one solution for engaging first-time shoppers and turning them into loyal customers. This app seems ideal for merchants prioritizing in-house loyalty programs. Referral Candy, on the other hand, positions itself as an all-in-one affiliate and referral marketing solution, emphasizing growth through customer referrals and affiliate partnerships instead of relying solely on paid advertising. Referral Candy & Affiliate appears tailored for merchants who see their existing customer base and external affiliates as prime acquisition channels. While E! offers a referral program as part of a broader loyalty scheme, Referral Candy & Affiliate provides a more sophisticated platform for managing and rewarding affiliate and referral networks. The key difference lies in the strategic priority: E! prioritizes deepening engagement within the existing customer base, while Referral Candy & Affiliate prioritizes expanding reach through external advocacy and partnership.

Our Verdict
For merchants wanting a complete loyalty program with points, rewards, and VIP tiers to deepen engagement and reward repeat purchases, E! ‑ Loyalty Program & Rewards is a strong choice. The app boasts a perfect 5/5 rating, suggesting high user satisfaction. However, the lower number of reviews might indicate it's a newer or less widely adopted app. If your primary growth strategy relies on leveraging your existing customers and affiliates for new customer acquisition, Referral Candy & Affiliate is the better option. While its rating is slightly lower at 4.9/5, the significantly higher number of reviews (1468) indicates greater market adoption and likely a more robust and refined platform for managing affiliate and referral programs.
Common Questions
What is the primary difference between E! and Referral Candy in terms of referral programs?
E! incorporates referrals as one component within a broader loyalty program featuring points, rewards, and VIP tiers. Referral Candy, on the other hand, dedicates itself primarily to referral and affiliate marketing, offering more robust features for managing and tracking referral campaigns.
Which app offers better integration with other Shopify apps?

E! mentions integrations more generally, noting multi-language translation and smart tracking/analytics. Referral Candy thus seems to have a more extensive and specific integration network.
Which app is more suitable for a new Shopify store?
E! might be more suitable for a new store looking to build a foundational loyalty program from the start, turning first-time customers into repeat buyers. Referral Candy requires an existing customer base and/or affiliate network to be effective, so it's better suited for stores that have already established some market presence.
Does E! offer any features that Referral Candy does not?
E! emphasizes VIP tiers and a points-based loyalty system more prominently than Referral Candy, which is primarily focused on referral and affiliate rewards. If a tiered loyalty program is crucial, E! is the better choice.

Yes, Referral Candy is explicitly designed for affiliate marketing, offering features for managing affiliates, tracking performance, and automating rewards. E! primarily focuses on internal loyalty programs, with referral features as a secondary component.
