E! ‑ Loyalty Program & Rewards vs ShopBack Growth Toolsfor Shopify (2026)
E! ‑ Loyalty Program & Rewards and ShopBack Growth Tools, while both listed under the 'Loyalty and Rewards' category on Shopify, serve vastly different purposes and cater to distinct merchant needs. E! focuses on building internal customer loyalty programs through points, referrals, and VIP tiers, aiming to convert first-time shoppers into repeat customers and boost sales directly through gamified engagement. In contrast, ShopBack Growth Tools is designed to streamline the integration and management of ShopBack's external payment and marketing platform within a Shopify store. It's primarily a utility app for merchants already using or planning to use ShopBack's services. The critical difference lies in their core function: E! offers a comprehensive loyalty program solution, while ShopBack Growth Tools acts as an integration and management tool for a specific third-party service. E! is independent and builds customer loyalty within the Shopify ecosystem, while ShopBack is dependent on the ShopBack ecosystem, which requires that the ShopBack payments app is installed in order to function properly. The user reviews and ratings reflect these different focuses, with E! boasting a strong 5-star rating and numerous reviews, indicating widespread satisfaction. ShopBack has a low 1-star rating with only one review suggesting the app isn't perceived as helpful by most.

Our Verdict
E! ‑ Loyalty Program & Rewards is the clear choice for merchants seeking to build a standalone customer loyalty program directly within their Shopify store. Its high rating, numerous positive reviews, and comprehensive feature set indicate a well-received and effective solution for boosting customer retention and driving sales through points, referrals, and VIP programs. It empowers businesses to cultivate lasting relationships with their customers through internal gamification.
ShopBack Growth Tools, on the other hand, is a niche tool specifically designed for merchants already committed to using the ShopBack platform. If you are not a current or prospective ShopBack user, this app offers no value. Its low rating and single review suggest it may not be essential even for ShopBack users, potentially indicating integration issues or limited functionality compared to direct integration methods.
