Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing building a classic loyalty program with points, tiers, and referrals to drive repeat purchases and increase customer lifetime value, E! ‑ Loyalty Program & Rewards is the stronger choice. Its comprehensive features and high rating suggest a robust and well-received solution. However, if a merchant's primary focus is on attracting environmentally conscious consumers and aligning their brand with sustainability, Shopify Planet is the more appropriate option. Although it has a lower rating, its unique selling proposition caters to a specific and growing market segment.
Ultimately, the best choice depends on the merchant's business goals and target audience. If sustainability is a core value and a significant selling point, Shopify Planet is a valuable addition. If the goal is to build a robust loyalty program to drive sales and engagement, E! is the better option. It's also worth noting that the two apps are not mutually exclusive. A merchant could potentially use both to create a comprehensive loyalty and sustainability strategy.
