Easy Cookie Bar GDPR vs Ekookie ‑ Consent V2 readyfor Shopify (2026)
Easy Cookie Bar GDPR and Ekookie ‑ Consent V2 ready both aim to provide Shopify merchants with GDPR-compliant cookie consent solutions. Easy Cookie Bar GDPR emphasizes ease of use and customization of the privacy banner, targeting merchants who want full control over the visual appearance and direct integration with Shopify. Our Verdict
Given the current data, Ekookie appears to be the stronger choice, despite the limited number of reviews. Its positive rating and emphasis on user experience, stored consentments, and pre-configured cookies make it appealing for merchants who want a reliable, hands-off solution. However, Easy Cookie Bar GDPR might be suitable for merchants who require maximum customization and control over the cookie banner's design, especially if they are comfortable with a potentially higher learning curve and the uncertainty associated with a new app with no reviews.
If you are looking for a tried and tested, user-friendly solution to handle cookie consent, Ekookie is the recommended app. However, if you require granular customization and are willing to take a risk on a new app with no reviews, Easy Cookie Bar GDPR might be an option to consider, but with extreme caution. Merchants should monitor its future reviews and updates before committing.
