Easy Custom CSS vs Sharely: Social Media Iconsfor Shopify (2026)
Easy Custom CSS and Sharely: Social Media Icons both fall under the 'Design elements' category in the Shopify App Store, but cater to very different needs and skill levels. Easy Custom CSS aims to empower merchants with CSS knowledge to customize their store's appearance without directly editing theme files. It focuses on providing a development-like experience, offering syntax highlighting and autocompletion. However, its extremely low rating and minimal reviews raise serious concerns about its reliability and usability. Sharely: Social Media Icons, on the other hand, targets merchants who want to enhance their store's credibility and drive social sharing by adding social media icons and share buttons. Its high rating and substantial number of reviews suggest a well-received and functional app. It emphasizes ease of use and offers flexible design options for integrating social media elements into the store's layout. While Easy Custom CSS is code-centric, Sharely is design and marketing-focused, appealing to a broader range of merchants, particularly those less comfortable with coding.

Our Verdict
Based on the available data, Sharely: Social Media Icons appears to be the significantly better option for most Shopify merchants. Its overwhelmingly positive reviews suggest a reliable and user-friendly app for easily integrating social media elements into their store. It's ideal for merchants looking to boost their social media presence and drive customer engagement without needing coding skills.
Easy Custom CSS, despite its promise of code-free CSS customization, suffers from a very low rating and insufficient reviews, making it a risky choice. Unless a merchant has specific and critical CSS customization needs and a high tolerance for potential issues, Sharely: Social Media Icons presents a more dependable and beneficial solution in most scenarios.
