Easy Edits vs Puco Sections: Theme Sectionsfor Shopify (2026)
Easy Edits and Puco Sections: Theme Sections both aim to empower Shopify merchants to customize their storefronts without coding, but they approach this goal with significantly different methodologies. Easy Edits focuses on providing a flexible, AI-powered editor that allows merchants to directly manipulate existing theme elements and create animations, offering granular control over design. Its core strength lies in its AI integration and direct editing capabilities. Puco Sections, on the other hand, operates on a library model, providing merchants with a large collection of pre-designed sections and blocks (200+) that can be easily inserted into their theme. This approach is about expanding the available design elements rather than directly modifying existing ones. Its strength lies in the sheer number of available sections and the speed of implementation. The ideal merchant for each app will depend on their design preferences, technical skills, and desired level of control.

Our Verdict
For merchants who want to deeply customize their existing storefront, experiment with AI-assisted design, and have granular control over every element, Easy Edits is the stronger choice. Its AI features and direct editing capabilities provide unparalleled flexibility. However, its lower review count compared to Puco Sections might suggest that the app is newer or has a smaller user base, which could be a factor for some merchants.
Puco Sections: Theme Sections is ideal for merchants who want to quickly and easily expand their storefront's design options with a library of pre-built sections and blocks. The sheer number of sections available, coupled with the ease of installation, makes it a powerful tool for rapidly improving the look and feel of a store. The consistent stream of new sections is also a bonus, keeping designs fresh. Given its large user base, it's a safer bet for merchants prioritizing stability and community support.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to learn for someone completely new to Shopify?
Puco Sections: Theme Sections is likely easier to learn initially because it involves adding pre-designed elements, which requires less creative problem-solving compared to direct editing with Easy Edits. Easy Edits may have a slightly steeper learning curve due to the breadth of customization options and reliance on AI prompting.
If I want to add a complex animation to my product page, which app should I use?
Easy Edits is the more suitable choice for adding animations, as its description explicitly mentions creating animations and hover effects. Puco Sections: Theme Sections focuses on providing pre-built sections, not custom animations.
Which app is better for improving my store's loading speed?
Puco Sections: Theme Sections claims to be built for performance and speed. The potential loading speed impact of Easy Edits would depend on the complexity of the edits made and the efficiency of the app's code. However, both apps claim to avoid slowing down the store and avoid the problems of older page builders.
Does either app offer A/B testing capabilities for different storefront designs?
Neither app description explicitly mentions A/B testing features. Additional apps will likely need to be installed to offer these features.
