If product discoverability and ease of navigation are the primary concerns, Magepow Infinite Scroll is the stronger option.
Common Questions
Which app is better for improving my store's SEO?
Neither app directly addresses SEO. However, improving user engagement (which both apps aim to do) can indirectly benefit SEO. Magepow Infinite Scroll may slightly help as users will likely be on the collection page for longer, which could improve dwell time.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on their descriptions, both apps seem relatively easy to use, offering customization without requiring coding knowledge. Easy Lottie Animations involves uploading a file and configuring behavior, whereas Magepow Infinite Scroll automatically implements the scrolling effect. However, Easy Lottie Animations has significantly fewer reviews, which makes it harder to assess real-world user experience compared to Magepow Infinite Scroll.
Can I use both Easy Lottie Animations and Magepow Infinite Scroll on the same Shopify store?
Yes, you can use both apps on the same store. They address entirely different aspects of the user experience, so they shouldn't conflict. Easy Lottie Animations enhances visual elements, while Magepow Infinite Scroll improves navigation within collections.
Does Easy Lottie Animations affect my website loading speed?
The app description specifically mentions that it uses lightweight Lottie files that load almost instantly, minimizing any potential impact on website speed. However, excessively large or poorly optimized Lottie files could still affect performance.
How does Magepow Infinite Scroll handle pagination for SEO purposes?
Magepow Infinite Scroll removes traditional pagination from the user experience on the frontend. The technical SEO aspects of infinite scroll can be complex and it's often recommended to implement pagination in the background. As such, consider researching the SEO implications of Infinite scroll prior to use.
