Easy Metafields by DevCloud vs Metafields Gurufor Shopify (2026)
Easy Metafields by DevCloud and Metafields Guru both target Shopify merchants needing enhanced metafield management. However, they approach the challenge from vastly different angles and with significantly different levels of market validation. Our Verdict
Metafields Guru is the clear recommendation for most Shopify merchants. Its established reputation, evidenced by its 5-star rating and significant review count, combined with its extensive feature set covering data management, storefront integration, and ease of use, makes it the more robust and reliable choice. While Easy Metafields offers an appealing promise of automated metafield application, the lack of reviews and limited feature set compared to Metafields Guru suggests it may be a riskier option.
Easy Metafields *might* be suitable for merchants with extremely simple metafield needs focused solely on automating basic assignment and removal, who are willing to be early adopters. However, for any serious metafield management requiring control, flexibility, and proven reliability, Metafields Guru is the superior choice. The availability of backups, migration tools, and storefront integration features alone justify its selection for most use cases.
