Easy Product Badges vs SWT Products Custom Fieldsfor Shopify (2026)
Easy Product Badges and SWT Products Custom Fields are Shopify apps that, based on limited data, cater to different needs within the Shopify ecosystem. Easy Product Badges focuses on enhancing product discovery by displaying clickable badges on product pages that link to related collections. This simplifies navigation for customers and potentially boosts sales by highlighting different product categories. SWT Products Custom Fields, while not explicitly described in the provided data, is categorized under 'Metafields,' suggesting it empowers merchants to add and manage custom data fields for their products. The key difference lies in their functionality. Easy Product Badges is primarily a front-end tool for improving product page navigation and visual appeal, especially if collections are an integral part of a store's product organization. SWT Products Custom Fields, on the other hand, appears to be a back-end tool focused on extending product data and enabling customized information display elsewhere in the store (potentially requiring coding or a compatible theme). Based on the number of reviews, SWT Products Custom Fields may have a slightly broader appeal, though the sample sizes are small. Easy Product Badges offers a no-code solution to improve on-site navigation, while SWT Products Custom Fields provides merchants with more control over product data organization and presentation, especially if they want to display information beyond basic attributes. Given that both apps share the same 'Metafields' Shopify category, it's possible their functionalities overlap slightly, but their primary focus appears distinct, targeting merchants with varying levels of technical expertise and priorities.

Our Verdict
For merchants focused on visually guiding customers to relevant product collections with minimal effort, Easy Product Badges is the better choice. Its no-code approach and direct link to collection discovery offer a straightforward solution to improve on-site navigation. However, the limited number of reviews means caution is warranted.
If a merchant needs to add specific data fields to products beyond standard attributes and requires the flexibility to display this information in various ways (potentially requiring code or a compatible theme), SWT Products Custom Fields is likely the more suitable option. The higher number of reviews (4 vs 1) suggests a larger, and potentially more satisfied, user base. Since both apps share Metafields as a category, the choice hinges on whether visual product badge linking is needed more than customized data fields.
