Easy Product Badges vs Variant Description Profor Shopify (2026)
Easy Product Badges and Variant Description Pro are two Shopify apps targeting different aspects of product page optimization. Easy Product Badges focuses on enhancing product discovery by showcasing collection-based badges that link to related collections. Its strength lies in its simplicity and visual appeal, allowing merchants to highlight promotions, bestsellers, or seasonal collections with customizable badges. This app is aimed at merchants who want to improve product discoverability through visual cues and internal linking, particularly those with well-defined collections. Variant Description Pro, on the other hand, addresses the need for detailed product variant information. Variant Description Pro aims to reduce customer confusion and potential returns by allowing merchants to add unique descriptions, images, videos, and rich text formatting for each product variant. This is particularly useful for products with complex options, such as clothing with different sizes and colors. The app's bulk editing capabilities and compatibility with all themes make it suitable for stores with large catalogs and complex product offerings. While both apps share the 'Metafields' category, their core functionalities and target audiences differ significantly; one focuses on category-based product discovery, the other on detailed variant information.
