Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on expanding their reach and automating product promotion across multiple social media platforms with static content, Easy Publisher by DevCloud could be a suitable option. However, the low review count suggests caution and further investigation is warranted before relying on it.
Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reel is the better choice for merchants looking to create engaging and interactive shopping experiences directly within their Shopify store by leveraging video content. Its AI-powered product tagging, auto-sync features, and significantly higher review count demonstrate a more mature and potentially more effective solution for driving conversions through video.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the descriptions, Easy Publisher might seem simpler initially, focusing on basic product post scheduling. However, Whatmore's AI-powered features could offset its more complex functionality, potentially making it easier to manage in the long run despite the initial setup involved in integrating video content.
Which app provides better ROI?
ROI depends on the merchant's specific goals. If the primary goal is broad social media presence with minimal effort, Easy Publisher *could* provide ROI through increased visibility. However, Whatmore aims for direct conversions through engaging video shopping experiences, potentially yielding a higher, more trackable ROI for businesses investing in video content.
Does either app impact store loading speed?
Whatmore explicitly claims to have zero impact on page speed due to its lightweight video components. Easy Publisher doesn't mention page speed impact, but scheduling frequent posts *could* indirectly affect performance depending on how it's implemented.
Which app is better for a small business with limited resources?
Both apps automate certain processes, but Whatmore's AI tagging could save significant time on product linking in videos. However, a business needs existing video content or a strategy to create it. If the business has no video content strategy, Easy Publisher may be more appropriate.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, but there might be overlap. Easy Publisher automates general social media posting, while Whatmore focuses on embedding shoppable videos *within* the store. A merchant *could* use Easy Publisher to promote their store's video-driven pages created with Whatmore, but that would require careful planning.
