EasyCheckout ‑ Buy Button vs Payment Rules Hide PaymentHerofor Shopify (2026)
EasyCheckout ‑ Buy Button and Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero are both Shopify apps operating within the Checkout category, aiming to enhance the post-add-to-cart experience. However, they address fundamentally different aspects of the checkout flow. EasyCheckout ‑ Buy Button, judging by its name, likely focuses on streamlining the initial checkout initiation by enabling buy buttons, potentially shortening the path to purchase. Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero, on the other hand, specializes in optimizing the *payment* stage of checkout. It enables merchants to control which payment options are displayed to customers based on various rules. The crucial distinction lies in their target area: EasyCheckout aims to facilitate quicker checkout starts, while Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero fine-tunes the payment selection phase. This difference is further emphasized by Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero's detailed description which highlights features like hiding, sorting, and renaming payment methods. The significant disparity in the number of reviews (1 vs. 218) suggests Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero has a much larger user base and potentially more proven reliability and effectiveness, while EasyCheckout needs to demonstrate its value proposition more concretely.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with shortening the path to purchase and facilitating immediate checkout initiation (e.g., from product pages), EasyCheckout ‑ Buy Button *might* be a suitable starting point, though its lack of reviews and detailed information makes it difficult to fully assess. More information about its functionalities would be needed.
Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero is the clear choice for merchants with a more mature checkout strategy. Its focus on optimizing payment method selection, combined with a strong user base (as evidenced by the significant number of reviews), offers a more robust and proven solution. If you have a diverse range of payment options, want to tailor payment visibility to different customer segments, or prioritize certain payment methods, Payment Rules Hide PaymentHero is the better investment.
