EasyCSV ‑ CSV & XLSX handling vs Workflow Automation—React Flowfor Shopify (2026)
EasyCSV - CSV & XLSX handling and Workflow Automation—React Flow are both highly-rated Shopify apps (5/5), but they cater to distinct automation needs. EasyCSV focuses on streamlining data exchange with suppliers and vendors via CSV and XLSX files. Its strength lies in automating product information updates, inventory synchronization, order exports, and order creation using spreadsheets. This makes it ideal for merchants heavily reliant on spreadsheet-based workflows for product data management and vendor communication. In contrast, Workflow Automation—React Flow centers around automating various operational tasks within the Shopify store itself and integrating with other platforms. It offers a visual workflow builder to automate order fulfillment, customer tagging, email marketing, and connect with other applications like Mailchimp, Slack, and Google Sheets. The core difference is that EasyCSV focuses on external data integration and manipulation using spreadsheets, while Workflow Automation—React Flow focuses on internal store automation and integration with other platforms. EasyCSV automates processes where data lives in CSV and XLSX files, while Workflow Automation—React Flow automates processes within the Shopify ecosystem, triggered by store events. While both apps fall under the 'Workflow Automation' category, their specific areas of expertise are very different. React Flow also boasts a substantially higher number of reviews, suggesting wider adoption and potentially more robust community support.

Our Verdict
If your business relies heavily on receiving product data, inventory updates, or creating orders from CSV/XLSX files provided by suppliers or vendors, EasyCSV is the clear choice. Its specialized features for handling spreadsheet data, particularly via FTP and email, make it a powerful tool for streamlining these workflows.
However, if you're primarily looking to automate tasks *within* your Shopify store, such as order fulfillment, customer tagging, email marketing, and integration with other marketing and operational platforms, Workflow Automation—React Flow is the better option. Its visual workflow builder and broad integration capabilities offer greater flexibility for automating various aspects of your store's operations. The higher number of reviews also suggests a more mature and widely adopted platform. For merchants heavily invested in a spreadsheet-centric supply chain, EasyCSV provides niche but valuable automation capabilities. For more general Shopify operations automation, React Flow provides a robust and versatile solution.
Common Questions
Can both apps handle inventory syncing?
Yes, both apps can handle inventory syncing, but in different ways. EasyCSV syncs inventory based on data from CSV or XLSX files. Workflow Automation—React Flow can trigger inventory updates based on events within Shopify or connected platforms, but does not directly process CSV/XLSX files for inventory updates.
Which app is easier to set up?
EasyCSV claims a 2-minute setup. While Workflow Automation—React Flow doesn't explicitly state setup time, its visual workflow builder might require a slightly steeper learning curve initially but offers more customization in the long run.
Can Workflow Automation—React Flow send CSV files to suppliers?
Workflow Automation—React Flow is primarily designed for internal Shopify automation and integrations with other platforms. While it *might* be possible to send CSV files via integrations like Google Sheets or email, it's not a core feature, making EasyCSV a more direct and efficient solution for that specific task.
Does EasyCSV offer direct integration with marketing platforms?
EasyCSV does not explicitly mention direct integration with marketing platforms like Mailchimp. Its primary focus is on data exchange via CSV/XLSX files. Workflow Automation—React Flow, on the other hand, offers direct integration with Mailchimp and other marketing tools.
Which app is better for B2B merchants?
EasyCSV explicitly mentions support for B2B prices and creating orders from CSV/XLSX files, making it potentially more suitable for B2B merchants who frequently receive orders or product updates in spreadsheet format. Workflow Automation—React Flow could still be valuable for B2B merchants for other operational automations but lacks EasyCSV's direct CSV/XLSX order creation features.
