EasyFlow Product Options vs Magic Custom Uploadfor Shopify (2026)
EasyFlow Product Options and Magic Custom Upload are both Shopify apps in the "Custom products" category, but they address very different needs. EasyFlow Product Options focuses on enabling merchants to offer highly customizable products with various options like text input, image swatches, and conditional logic. It's built for stores selling products where personalization and detailed configuration are key, such as apparel, personalized gifts, or configurable electronics. Magic Custom Upload, on the other hand, is designed for collecting files from customers during the ordering process. The fundamental difference lies in their core functionality. EasyFlow Product Options expands product variations and allows for complex product configurations directly on the product page. It boasts a strong reputation with a 5/5 rating from 313 reviews. Magic Custom Upload provides a method for customers to attach necessary documents to their orders and has custom rules to accept certain types of products, sizes, or files, but has no current user reviews or rating. Its primary target audience includes businesses needing supporting documents like design specs, prescriptions, or proof of purchase attached to orders.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking to offer highly customizable products with a wide range of options and variants, EasyFlow Product Options is the clear choice. Its high rating, numerous reviews, and feature set tailored to personalization make it ideal. However, for businesses primarily focused on receiving supporting documents from customers as part of their order process, Magic Custom Upload is a better fit. It streamlines the process of collecting and managing required files, although the lack of reviews and a rating makes its reliability less certain.
Choosing the right app depends entirely on your business needs. If your priority is allowing customers to personalize products, EasyFlow Product Options is the superior option. If your need is to collect supporting documentation for orders, Magic Custom Upload fills that specific niche, but merchants should proceed with caution until the app acquires a track record of user reviews.

Which app is better suited for a print-on-demand business?
EasyFlow Product Options is generally a better fit, given its focus on product customization, which is crucial for print-on-demand. Customers need to be able to provide designs/specifications.
