EasyFlow Product Options vs Product connectorfor Shopify (2026)
EasyFlow Product Options and Product Connector, both in the Custom Products category on Shopify, cater to distinctly different needs. EasyFlow Product Options focuses on enabling merchants to offer highly customizable products with a wide array of options, allowing customers to personalize their purchases through text inputs, image swatches, and more. Its strength lies in creating complex product configurations and advanced variant management with features like conditional logic and dynamic pricing. The target audience for EasyFlow is merchants selling products that require significant personalization or have a multitude of configurable options. Product Connector, on the other hand, addresses the challenge of displaying product variations that exist as separate products within a vendor's system. It aims to streamline the customer experience by showcasing these individual products (e.g., different colors of the same shirt) as variants on a single product page. This app is particularly useful for vendors whose product data organizes similar items under distinct SKUs, preventing them from being displayed as standard Shopify variants. While both achieve a 5/5 rating, the significant difference in the number of reviews (313 for EasyFlow vs. 3 for Product Connector) suggests a much larger and more established user base for EasyFlow Product Options, which may indicate greater reliability or broader applicability.

Our Verdict
For merchants aiming to provide deep personalization and extensive customization options (e.g., custom engraved jewelry, personalized apparel), EasyFlow Product Options is the superior choice. Its robust features, including conditional logic and dynamic pricing, enable complex product configurations and upsell opportunities. However, its complexity necessitates careful implementation to avoid negatively impacting storefront performance.
Product Connector is ideal for merchants who have products with variations (e.g., colors, sizes) that are managed as distinct products with unique SKUs. This app streamlines the shopping experience by presenting these variations as options on the main product page, preventing customers from having to navigate away to find the desired variant. Its simplicity and focus on a specific linking functionality make it easy to use and integrate, particularly for those utilizing Shopify 2.0 themes.
Common Questions
Which app is better for increasing average order value?
EasyFlow Product Options offers smart price addons and upsell options, which are features designed to increase average order value. Product Connector focuses on simplifying variant discovery and doesn't directly address upselling.
Does either app create new Shopify variants?
EasyFlow Product Options works *with* Shopify variants and allows you to create options for them, but also can create options independently of variants. Product Connector *links* existing individual products to appear as variants, but does not inherently create new Shopify variants.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Product Connector is likely easier to set up and use due to its more focused functionality. EasyFlow Product Options, while powerful, has a wider range of features, potentially leading to a steeper learning curve.
Which app is best if my products don't fit into standard variants?
EasyFlow Product Options provides the most flexibility if your products have options that don't fit the standard variant structure (e.g., custom text input, file uploads). Product Connector's core purpose is linking existing products. It's limited if the variations don't already exist as separate SKUs.
Which app has a more established user base?
EasyFlow Product Options, with 313 reviews, has a significantly more established user base compared to Product Connector, which has only 3 reviews. This larger user base could indicate greater community support and more available resources.
