Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants primarily dealing with Cash on Delivery or managing pre-orders, EasyOrder COD Form&Order form offers a direct solution to streamline the checkout process. Its customizable order form and abandoned cart tracking can significantly improve conversion rates for these specific scenarios. The drag-and-drop interface may require some initial effort to learn, but the benefits of a simplified checkout often outweigh the investment, especially in markets where COD is prevalent.
Conversely, EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift is the better choice for merchants looking to increase their average order value and drive sales through strategic promotional offers. The app's easy-to-use interface and automated free gift features make it a powerful tool for upselling and incentivizing customers to add more items to their cart. Its high rating and large number of reviews also suggest strong user satisfaction. It is a more general solution applicable to any store, while EasyOrder is best for COD and pre-order focused stores.
Common Questions
Does EasyOrder handle payment processing beyond COD?
The description primarily focuses on COD and doesn't explicitly mention support for other payment gateways. However, it aims to simplify the form completion process regardless of the payment type chosen by the customer at the end.
Can EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift be used to offer discounts instead of free gifts?
The app's description primarily emphasizes free gifts and 'Buy X Get Y' offers. While discounts are not explicitly mentioned, the rule-based system might allow for creating rules that effectively result in discounts, but that would be determined during configuration.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the descriptions, EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift appears to be easier to set up due to its simple UI. EasyOrder's drag-and-drop form builder might require more initial setup time and customization effort.
If I offer both COD and standard online payments, which app is more suitable?
If COD is a significant portion of your sales, EasyOrder will offer more value. If online payments are predominant, EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift may be more beneficial. They can also be combined, if your store has both needs.
Do either of these apps support international currencies?
Neither app's description mentions specific support for multiple currencies. This would need to be verified with each app developer directly.
