EasyPay ‑ Payment Rules vs MultiVariants ‑ Bulk Orderfor Shopify (2026)
EasyPay ‑ Payment Rules and MultiVariants ‑ Bulk Order, while both listed under the 'Checkout' category in the Shopify app store, address vastly different needs for merchants. EasyPay focuses on customizing the payment experience at checkout. It allows merchants to reorder, rename, or hide payment methods based on various criteria like cart contents, shipping address, or order total. This is designed to improve the customer experience by prioritizing preferred payment options or restricting less desirable ones under specific conditions. MultiVariants ‑ Bulk Order, based on its name and lack of other information, likely targets merchants seeking to enhance their product offerings with multiple variations or facilitate bulk purchasing options. The key differentiating factor lies in their core functionalities: EasyPay optimizes the payment gateway presentation for a better checkout experience, while MultiVariants probably enhances product configuration or bulk purchase capabilities. The significantly higher number of reviews (306 vs 8) and perfect rating (5/5 vs 3.9/5) suggests MultiVariants ‑ Bulk Order has greater user satisfaction and market penetration, although without a description it is difficult to determine its target audience accurately. EasyPay caters to merchants with specific payment gateway management needs, while MultiVariants likely serves a broader audience aiming to improve product presentation and order efficiency.

Our Verdict
EasyPay ‑ Payment Rules is specifically designed for Shopify merchants who need fine-grained control over how payment options are presented to customers at checkout. If you want to prioritize specific payment methods based on order value, location, or other factors, EasyPay is the clear choice, although the lower rating and fewer reviews should prompt caution and a deeper look.
MultiVariants ‑ Bulk Order, despite its high rating and numerous reviews, lacks a descriptive overview. Without more details, it's impossible to definitively recommend it. However, based on its name, it would be suitable for merchants selling products with numerous variations (e.g., size, color) or those looking to offer bulk discounts. Merchants should look for demos and documentation to confirm its functionalities before making a decision. Overall, if payment customization is the priority, EasyPay, with careful consideration, is appropriate. Otherwise, more research is necessary to understand if MultiVariants' likely feature set meets your needs.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Without testing, it's hard to definitively say. EasyPay's conditional logic might be more complex to configure, while MultiVariants' ease of use depends on its undocumented features. The higher rating and review count suggest MultiVariants has a simpler or more effective user experience, but it also lacks clarity.
Which app is better for international stores?
EasyPay is better for international stores IF you need to tailor payment options based on customer location (country or zip code). It allows you to hide or prioritize certain payment methods based on shipping address.
Which app is more popular?
MultiVariants ‑ Bulk Order is significantly more popular, with 306 reviews compared to EasyPay's 8.
Which app can help me increase my average order value?
EasyPay COULD help increase AOV by prioritizing payment options for orders over a specific amount (e.g., offering a discount if they pay with a specific method). MultiVariants MIGHT help through bulk order discounts, but this is speculative.
If I sell products with sizes and colors, which app is more suitable?
Assuming MultiVariants ‑ Bulk Order handles product variations as its name implies, it would likely be more suitable. However, due to the lack of information it is difficult to make this decision.
