Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on cleaning up their existing website, fixing broken links, and improving SEO through redirect management, EasyRedirect | 404 Error Fixer is the relevant choice, *if* it proves to be effective and user-friendly (a risk given the lack of reviews). However, merchants aiming to expand their business internationally and offer a localized shopping experience to customers in different countries should strongly consider Geolocation & Markets—Selecty. The significant number of positive reviews and feature set focused on global market management make it the clear winner for businesses pursuing international expansion.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on their descriptions, EasyRedirect | 404 Error Fixer *potentially* involves a simpler setup due to its focus on automatic redirects. Geolocation & Markets—Selecty likely requires more configuration to define market settings, currencies, languages, and redirection rules. However, with zero reviews, EasyRedirect might have serious usability issues.
Can both apps be used together on the same Shopify store?
Yes, they *could* be used together, as they address different aspects of website management. However, consider if the merchant really requires the 404 fixing given that Shopify and other apps could do this.
Which app will have a bigger impact on sales?
Geolocation & Markets—Selecty is designed to directly impact sales by improving the shopping experience for international customers. EasyRedirect indirectly impacts sales by improving SEO and preventing lost customers due to broken links, but the effect is less direct.
If I only care about SEO, which app is better?
EasyRedirect | 404 Error Fixer is the better choice if your sole concern is SEO optimization, but only if you can verify its capabilities. 404 errors and broken links negatively impact SEO; fixing them should improve search engine rankings.
Does EasyRedirect | 404 Error Fixer do any currency translations or language detections?
No, EasyRedirect | 404 Error Fixer does not handle currency translations or language detections. It only manages redirects and fixes 404 errors, according to its description.
