Our Verdict
The choice between Easyteam for Point of Sale and EZ Exporter depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs. Easyteam is the clear winner for retailers with physical stores using Shopify POS who need a comprehensive solution for managing their staff, including scheduling, time tracking, and payroll. Its tight integration with Shopify POS and emphasis on ease of use make it a strong contender in this space. Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up for a new Shopify store owner?
Easyteam is likely easier to set up initially, as it's designed to integrate smoothly with Shopify POS and focus on common retail staff management tasks. EZ Exporter requires more configuration to set up templates and schedules for data exports, catering to more technical users.
Can both apps integrate with third-party payroll systems?
Easyteam explicitly mentions running payroll seamlessly with Easyteam or 'your own provider', implying integration. EZ Exporter could indirectly contribute to payroll processes if payroll data is exported for use in another system, but it doesn't directly integrate.
Which app is better for a dropshipping business?
EZ Exporter is significantly more useful for a dropshipping business. It enables the creation of product feeds, order exports to 3PL providers, and automated data sharing, which are crucial for efficient dropshipping operations.
Does Easyteam or EZ Exporter offer customer support beyond initial setup?
Easyteam's description mentions "top-notch onboarding and live support", suggesting ongoing support. EZ Exporter doesn't explicitly mention ongoing support in its description, but given the complexity of data exports, some form of support is likely offered.
Which app is better for managing employee performance metrics?
Easyteam directly addresses employee performance management through its sales performance and commission tracking features. EZ Exporter focuses on data extraction and wouldn't directly contribute to tracking employee performance within the Shopify POS system.
