Easyteam for Point of Sale vs Lamnia ‑ SKU Generatorfor Shopify (2026)
Easyteam for Point of Sale and Lamnia ‑ SKU Generator, while both categorized under 'Selling in person' on Shopify, cater to vastly different needs. Easyteam is a comprehensive staff management solution specifically designed for Shopify POS retailers. It focuses on streamlining employee scheduling, time tracking, commissions, and payroll, aiming to improve operational efficiency and reduce administrative burden related to personnel. Lamnia, on the other hand, addresses a very specific problem: the manual creation of SKUs for product variants. It helps merchants automate SKU generation to save time and reduce errors, particularly beneficial for businesses with large and complex product inventories. The core difference lies in their target users and functionalities. Easyteam targets businesses with physical stores and employees needing comprehensive management, offering features like clock-in/out, scheduling from the POS, and payroll integration. Lamnia is geared towards merchants struggling with SKU management, regardless of their physical presence, providing tools to generate and batch update SKUs automatically. Therefore, their suitability hinges on whether a merchant's primary need is staff management or SKU generation automation.

If your company is seeking a targeted SKU solution, then this app will likely assist your staff.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a small business with only a few employees?
Lamnia is unlikely to be required for a small business with few products. Easyteam can be effective for staff management, however a simpler time tracking or payroll app may be more suitable given the smaller employee size. Consider your product catalog first!
Does Easyteam handle payroll taxes?
The description states that Easyteam can run payroll, either independently or with your existing provider. You will need to contact the support team to determine the extent of payroll tax support.
Can Lamnia integrate with my existing inventory management system outside of Shopify?
The description only mentions seamless integration with the existing Shopify inventory system. There is no information about integrating with external inventory management platforms. Therefore, the answer is likely no.
How does Easyteam ensure accurate time tracking for employees?
Easyteam offers clock-in/out functionality directly within the Shopify POS and on mobile devices, ensuring employees can easily record their work hours from any location. More details will be needed from Easyteam to determine security and auditing features to prevent staff from clocking in before or after hours.
Is Lamnia's SKU generation reversible? Can I go back to my old SKUs?
The description mentions previewing SKUs before applying changes, suggesting a level of control. However, it doesn't explicitly state the ability to revert to previous SKUs. This is something you would need to confirm with the Lamnia support team before implementation.
