Easyteam for Point of Sale vs Novel: Wallet Pass for Brandsfor Shopify (2026)
Easyteam for Point of Sale and Novel: Wallet Pass for Brands, while sharing the 'Selling in person' and 'Retail' categories on Shopify, cater to drastically different needs. Easyteam focuses on internal operations, specifically streamlining staff management for brick-and-mortar stores. It offers comprehensive tools for scheduling, time tracking, payroll, commissions, and sales performance analysis. In contrast, Novel is geared towards customer engagement and retention, utilizing wallet passes to deliver push notifications, drive repeat purchases through omnichannel solutions and enable conversational referrals. The core distinction lies in their target user. Easyteam aims at store managers and owners seeking to optimize their workforce and simplify administrative tasks associated with employee management. Novel, on the other hand, targets marketers and business owners looking to enhance customer loyalty, increase in-store and online sales, and leverage modern marketing techniques like push notifications without requiring users to download a dedicated app. Easyteam positions itself as a complete employee management 'homebase,' while Novel focuses on direct customer communication and seamless integration with loyalty and referral programs. The significantly higher number of reviews for Easyteam also suggests a longer presence in the market or a broader adoption rate within its niche.
