Easyteam for Point of Sale vs POS Variable Priced Productsfor Shopify (2026)
Easyteam for Point of Sale and POS Variable Priced Products, while both residing in the "Selling in person" and "Retail" Shopify categories, cater to vastly different needs. Easyteam is a comprehensive staff management solution for retailers using Shopify POS. Its focus is on streamlining employee-related tasks like scheduling, time tracking, commission management, and payroll. POS Variable Priced Products, on the other hand, directly addresses the need to sell items with variable prices at the point of sale, primarily targeting businesses like florists, vintage clothing sellers, and others where the price isn't fixed. The apps diverge significantly in their feature sets. Easyteam provides tools for employee onboarding, performance tracking, and checklist management directly within the POS system. This suggests a more involved and longer-term relationship with the merchant, serving as a central hub for staff-related operations. POS Variable Priced Products focuses on simplifying the variable pricing process during sales, impacting reporting and inventory management in a precise and useful way. Its appeal lies in solving a specific pricing challenge at the point of sale. While both offer value, their target audiences and core functionalities differ considerably.
