Our Verdict
The choice between Easyteam and Pro:Tagger hinges entirely on the merchant's needs. Easyteam is the clear winner for brick-and-mortar retailers heavily reliant on Shopify POS who need a robust staff management system. The high number of positive reviews indicates its effectiveness in this niche. Pro:Tagger, despite having fewer reviews, is valuable for any Shopify merchant, regardless of whether they use POS, who wants to automate tagging to improve customer segmentation, product organization, and marketing effectiveness. Pro:Tagger allows for improved backend organization and targeted campaigns. If a merchant has both needs, they might benefit from using both apps.
Common Questions
Can Easyteam help me segment my customers?
Easyteam primarily focuses on staff management, including sales performance tracking. While it indirectly provides insights into sales per employee, it doesn't offer customer segmentation features like Pro:Tagger.
Does Pro:Tagger work with Shopify POS?
Pro:Tagger works with your general store data and product/customer information, but it does *not* have any integrations specifically for Shopify POS transactions or data derived solely from the Point of Sale system.
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps aim for ease of use. However, Pro:Tagger's pre-built automation workflows might make it quicker to get started with automated tagging rules. Easyteam setup could involve more initial configuration to accommodate scheduling and payroll settings.
Is payroll included in Pro:Tagger?
No. Pro:Tagger automates the tagging process for orders, customers and products to provide merchants with data. Payroll management is outside the scope of its features.
Which app is suitable for a store with only 2 employees?
Pro:Tagger would likely offer more value for a store with only 2 employees. The benefits of robust automated tagging (and its benefits for marketing or analytics) will often outweigh employee management complexities when that team is so small. But if one of the employees is routinely late, Easyteam might be the better option.
