EAZE WhatsApp Button vs WAX: marketing on WhatsAppfor Shopify (2026)
EAZE WhatsApp Button and WAX: marketing on WhatsApp both offer WhatsApp integration for Shopify stores, but cater to different needs. EAZE WhatsApp Button appears to be a simpler solution, likely focused on enabling direct customer contact through a button, aiming to improve accessibility for support or quick inquiries. WAX, on the other hand, positions itself as a comprehensive WhatsApp marketing platform, emphasizing campaign creation, automated flows, and performance tracking to drive sales and retention. The difference lies in the scale and ambition of their WhatsApp integration strategies. WAX offers a wider array of features at the cost of complexity, while EAZE WhatsApp Button offers a single focused feature that might be useful for merchants who simply need to improve customer access to communication. Waxe's marketing automation and customer experience functions make it a viable tool to drive conversion and engagement on WhatApp. It also states that it complies with GDPR. EAZE WhatsApp Button does not directly state what its focus is other than a focus on a direct WhatsApp button.

Our Verdict
For merchants looking for a quick and easy way to add a WhatsApp contact button to their Shopify store, EAZE WhatsApp Button may be sufficient. Its simplicity is its strength. However, for merchants who want to actively leverage WhatsApp for marketing, including automated campaigns, abandoned cart recovery, and in-depth performance tracking, WAX: marketing on WhatsApp is the clear choice. Its comprehensive feature set caters to a more sophisticated WhatsApp marketing strategy, but it is probably more difficult to use. Given the higher rating, even if the number of reviews is lower, it might be worthwhile to start with WAX unless the merchant simply needs a button.
Given the state of 2026, data privacy is crucial. The claim by WAX about GDPR compliance is worth considering, as there is no mention of GDPR compliance for EAZE WhatsApp Button.
