Ecommattic: Customer Redirects vs Traffic Policefor Shopify (2026)
Ecommattic: Customer Redirects and Traffic Police address distinct needs for Shopify merchants in 2026. Ecommattic focuses on enhancing the customer journey *after* they are already engaging with the store, using redirects based on login, registration, logout, and custom URLs to guide users towards specific products or collections. Its core aim is to improve engagement and potentially increase conversions by directing customers to relevant content. Traffic Police, in contrast, centers on security, traffic control, and basic geolocation-based redirection. It aims to protect the store from malicious traffic, control access based on location, and implement GDPR compliance with a cookie bar. The fundamental difference lies in their objectives. Ecommattic is a customer experience enhancement tool, whereas Traffic Police is a security and compliance solution. One focuses on optimising the existing customer flow, and the other focuses on managing *who* accesses the store and *where* they're coming from. While both apps are listed under the 'Geolocation' category, Traffic Police's geo-location is primarily used for blocking and redirecting traffic based on location, while Ecommattic is using it for directing customers based on their past behaviour. The customer reviews also clearly indicate Traffic Police is actively used and well-received, while Ecommattic has no user feedback available.

Our Verdict
Choosing between Ecommattic: Customer Redirects and Traffic Police hinges entirely on your priorities. If you're primarily concerned with optimising the customer experience by guiding users to specific pages based on their login status or previous actions, Ecommattic *could* be useful. However, the lack of reviews raises concerns about its reliability and effectiveness. If, however, your priority is safeguarding your store from malicious traffic, managing access based on location, and ensuring GDPR compliance, Traffic Police is the far more suitable choice, supported by positive user feedback.
Given the absence of reviews for Ecommattic and the strong reviews for Traffic Police, Traffic Police is the safer and more reliable option in 2026, especially if security and traffic management are key concerns. Merchants interested in customer journey optimization might need to explore other well-reviewed apps or wait for Ecommattic to garner some user feedback and prove its value proposition.
Common Questions
Which app is better for increasing sales?
Ecommattic *theoretically* aims to increase sales by directing customers to relevant products. However, without reviews, its effectiveness is uncertain. Traffic Police indirectly contributes to sales by preventing malicious traffic from disrupting the store and ensuring a smooth experience for legitimate customers.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Without reviews for Ecommattic, it's impossible to determine its ease of use. Traffic Police, with positive reviews, is likely easier to use and configure, but that's an inference based on the available review data.
Does either app help with SEO?
Neither app directly addresses SEO. Ecommattic's redirects could *potentially* impact SEO if not implemented correctly (e.g., using temporary redirects instead of permanent ones when appropriate). Traffic Police has no apparent SEO impact.
Which app is more important for a new Shopify store?
For a new store, Traffic Police is likely more crucial, as security and protection from malicious traffic are fundamental. Customer journey optimization, while beneficial, is less critical in the early stages when focusing on building a stable and secure foundation.
Do both apps require coding knowledge to implement?
Neither app description suggests coding knowledge is required. Both aim to provide user-friendly interfaces for configuration. However, some custom redirects in Ecommattic may require a basic understanding of URLs.
