eCommix ‑ Google Sheets Sync vs Zigpoll Customer Surveysfor Shopify (2026)
eCommix ‑ Google Sheets Sync and Zigpoll Customer Surveys are Shopify apps catering to vastly different needs within an e-commerce operation, despite sharing the 'Operations' and 'Analytics' categories. eCommix focuses on back-end data management, enabling merchants to export, bulk edit, and synchronize store data with Google Sheets, offering power users granular control and custom reporting capabilities. Its strength lies in manipulating large datasets efficiently using familiar spreadsheet tools. In contrast, Zigpoll Customer Surveys emphasizes customer experience and feedback collection through targeted surveys. It aims to gather actionable insights from customers through various touchpoints, enabling merchants to optimize their business roadmap and marketing efforts. The two apps target distinct merchant personas. eCommix is geared towards merchants who are comfortable with spreadsheets, data analysis, and require advanced data manipulation and reporting beyond what Shopify's native features offer. This includes merchants managing complex inventories, using custom metafields extensively, or requiring integrations with external BI tools like Looker Studio. Conversely, Zigpoll is designed for merchants focused on understanding customer behavior, improving customer satisfaction, and optimizing conversion rates through direct feedback. Its no-code setup and AI analytics make it accessible to merchants of all technical skill levels seeking to improve the customer journey. The significant difference in ratings and review volume suggests Zigpoll has found a wider market fit and greater user satisfaction.

eCommix ‑ Google Sheets Sync, despite its current low rating and review count, could be a valuable tool for merchants who need advanced data manipulation capabilities and custom reporting beyond what Shopify provides natively. However, merchants should proceed with caution due to the lack of positive reviews and carefully evaluate if the app's features justify the potential risk. Its usefulness heavily depends on the user's comfort level with spreadsheets and their need for detailed data analysis and modification.
