Ecommtoday Shipping Solutions vs Spaceship: Shipping Automationfor Shopify (2026)
Ecommtoday Shipping Solutions and Spaceship: Shipping Automation both aim to simplify shipping for Shopify merchants, but they cater to distinct segments. Ecommtoday positions itself as a comprehensive 360-degree e-commerce solution, emphasizing fulfillment network access, tax remittance (optional), and robust order and inventory management alongside shipping. It highlights experience, scale, and stability for high-volume businesses. Spaceship, on the other hand, is laser-focused on shipping automation, offering quick rate comparisons from multiple global carriers, simplified label generation, and seamless order syncing with Shopify. It aims for ease of use and cost-effectiveness in the shipping process itself. The primary difference lies in the scope of services. Ecommtoday offers a complete ecosystem for larger businesses, potentially handling warehousing and tax. Spaceship prioritizes streamlined shipping label creation and rate shopping for broader accessibility. Spaceship emphasizes instant rate comparisons and label creation speed, while Ecommtoday's key advantage is its established fulfillment network and full-service capabilities.

Our Verdict
For high-volume merchants with complex operations and multiple Shopify stores who need a complete solution encompassing inventory management, order fulfillment, and potentially tax remittance, Ecommtoday Shipping Solutions is the better choice, provided they are based in (or ship from) the United States or are okay with a US-centric solution. Its focus on scalability and its own fulfillment network is compelling. However, merchants primarily concerned with streamlining shipping, finding the best rates across multiple carriers, and generating labels quickly will find Spaceship: Shipping Automation a better fit. Its focus on automation and ease of use is more appropriate for businesses seeking a simpler, more direct shipping solution. Spaceship is the superior choice for merchants shipping globally.
