EcomRise: Upsell & Bundles vs Sell Plus Post Purchase Upsellfor Shopify (2026)
EcomRise: Upsell & Bundles positions itself as a comprehensive suite of tools designed to improve conversion rates, customer experience, and protect website content. It offers a wide array of features ranging from upsells and cross-sells (via Volume Discounts and Buy X Get Y offers) to sales notifications, trust badges, and even website protection tools like disabling right-click. Its target audience appears to be Shopify merchants seeking an all-in-one solution to enhance their store's functionality and boost sales through multiple avenues. Sell Plus Post Purchase Upsell, on the other hand, focuses primarily on post-purchase upsell opportunities, implying a more targeted approach. The primary difference lies in the scope of features offered. EcomRise presents a broad solution covering various aspects of the online store experience, whereas Sell Plus Post Purchase Upsell is more narrowly focused on maximizing revenue immediately after a purchase. The difference is also stark in terms of social proof; EcomRise has a substantial number of positive reviews (218), lending credibility, while Sell Plus Post Purchase Upsell has only a single review, making it difficult to assess its widespread effectiveness. The choice depends heavily on whether the merchant wants an all-encompassing suite or a focused post-purchase upsell solution.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants seeking a comprehensive solution to enhance various aspects of their store, including upselling, cross-selling, social proof, and even website content protection, EcomRise: Upsell & Bundles appears to be the more robust and well-vetted choice, backed by a significant number of positive reviews. However, if a merchant's sole focus is on maximizing immediate revenue through post-purchase upsells, and they are willing to take a chance on a newer app with limited social proof, Sell Plus Post Purchase Upsell might be worth exploring. It is crucial to consider the risk involved due to the lack of user feedback for Sell Plus.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's specific needs and risk tolerance. EcomRise offers a broader, more established solution, while Sell Plus offers a more focused, but less proven, approach. Merchants should consider whether they need the additional features and proven track record of EcomRise or if a specialized post-purchase solution is sufficient.
Common Questions
Which app provides more features for improving the overall customer experience?
EcomRise: Upsell & Bundles offers a wider array of features designed to improve the customer experience, including Sales Notifications, Trust Badges, Inactive Tab Messages, and even Content Protection. Sell Plus Post Purchase Upsell focuses solely on post-purchase upsells and therefore offers less impact on the overall customer journey.
Which app is likely easier to implement?
Without direct experience, it's difficult to definitively say. However, Sell Plus Post Purchase Upsell, with its singular focus, may be easier to set up initially. EcomRise, with its many features, might require more configuration.
Which app has more social proof and established credibility?
EcomRise: Upsell & Bundles has significantly more social proof due to its 218 positive reviews, providing a higher level of confidence for merchants.
Which app is better suited for a store just starting out?
A store just starting out might find EcomRise's broader feature set more valuable as it can help address multiple pain points related to conversion and user experience simultaneously. It also benefits from greater social proof. Sell Plus could be considered after initial growth when post-purchase upsells are a specific priority.
Does one app offer more advanced targeting options for upsells and bundles?
The description of EcomRise highlights 'Easy upsell & cross-sell' but lacks details on specific targeting features. The information for Sell Plus Post Purchase Upsell also does not describe advanced targeting, so it's not possible to determine which offers more advanced targeting based on the information provided.
