EdgeCTP vs SupaEasy: AI Functions creatorfor Shopify (2026)
EdgeCTP and SupaEasy: AI Functions creator represent fundamentally different approaches to workflow automation on Shopify. EdgeCTP aims to be an all-in-one solution for small businesses, integrating CRM, stock control, invoicing, shipping, and landed cost calculations. It targets merchants dealing with physical goods, especially those involved in international trade, by offering features like product classification, landed cost calculation, and restricted party screening. Its core value proposition is saving time and money by consolidating various business functions into a single platform. SupaEasy, on the other hand, focuses specifically on extending Shopify's functionality through Shopify Functions. It aims to empower merchants, including those not on Shopify Plus, to create custom discounts, shipping rules, payment options, and validation processes without requiring coding expertise. SupaEasy leverages AI to generate these functions based on text input, making it accessible to merchants of all technical skill levels. Its key strength is its ease of use and its ability to replace deprecated Shopify Scripts, providing advanced checkout customization options. The biggest difference lies in scope: EdgeCTP is a broad platform addressing multiple business needs, while SupaEasy is a focused tool for customizing the Shopify checkout experience. While both are categorized as workflow automation, they cater to vastly different aspects of a merchant's operations.

Our Verdict
For a new business seeking a comprehensive platform to manage various aspects of their operations, including CRM, stock control, and shipping, EdgeCTP *could* be appealing – provided it overcomes its lack of reviews and demonstrates reliability. However, the zero rating and lack of user feedback pose a significant risk. Merchants needing a complete solution and who are willing to take the risk on an unproven product might consider evaluating it thoroughly.
In contrast, SupaEasy is the clear choice for merchants who want to customize their checkout experience and implement advanced functionality without writing code. Its high rating, substantial number of positive reviews, and focus on Shopify Functions (the future of Shopify customization) make it a reliable and effective option. If you need to enhance your checkout process with custom discounts, shipping rules, payment options, or validation logic, SupaEasy is the recommended app.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
SupaEasy is designed for ease of use, leveraging AI to generate functions with no coding required. EdgeCTP, being a comprehensive platform, will likely require more setup and learning to navigate all its features, although it's stated goal is to simplify processes.
Which app is better for international sales?
EdgeCTP is specifically designed with international sales in mind, offering features like landed cost calculation and restricted party screening. SupaEasy can be used to enhance the checkout experience for international customers (e.g., custom shipping rates), but it does not directly handle compliance or landed cost calculation.
Can SupaEasy replace the need for other Shopify apps?
Potentially, SupaEasy could reduce the need for some apps that offer similar functionality for checkout customization. However, it is unlikely to replace a CRM or inventory management tool like EdgeCTP is attempting to be.
What if I only need one or two specific features from EdgeCTP?
Given EdgeCTP's lack of reviews, it might be wiser to seek specialized apps that excel at those individual features (e.g., a dedicated landed cost calculator or CRM). This would likely be more reliable than relying on an unproven all-in-one solution.
Is SupaEasy only for Shopify Plus merchants?
No, SupaEasy is available for all Shopify plans, including those not restricted to Shopify Plus. This makes it accessible to a broader range of merchants who want to customize their checkout experience.
