EDP ‑ Easy Digital Products vs MP Digital Downloadsfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, merchants choosing between EDP ‑ Easy Digital Products and MP Digital Downloads for selling digital goods face a clear trade-off between proven reliability and feature depth. EDP ‑ Easy Digital Products, boasting a perfect 5/5 rating from 175 reviews, signifies a trusted and well-received solution. This suggests a strong focus on ease of use and core functionality, likely appealing to merchants prioritizing simplicity and a track record of success. On the other hand, MP Digital Downloads, while lacking any user reviews, positions itself as a comprehensive solution with features like file protection via usage limits, support for unlimited products and various file types, customizable delivery pages, and built-in analytics. MP Digital Downloads seems targeted at merchants needing granular control over digital product delivery and advanced features like download tracking and security. The lack of reviews makes it a riskier choice, but the feature set implies a more powerful tool for businesses with specific requirements. EDP ‑ Easy Digital Products, conversely, likely caters to merchants seeking a straightforward, proven solution with minimal setup and a reliable user experience. The absence of advanced features like usage limits suggests a focus on ease of use over granular control. The key lies in whether the merchant values the reliability and simplicity implied by EDP's reviews or the potential functionality offered by MP Digital Downloads, despite its untested status.
