EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift vs Nexa ‑ Checkout T&C Checkboxfor Shopify (2026)
EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift and Nexa ‑ Checkout T&C Checkbox are both Shopify apps within the 'Cart customization' category but cater to vastly different needs. EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift focuses on boosting sales through strategic upsells, BOGO offers, and free gifts triggered by cart contents or value. It targets merchants looking to increase average order value and customer engagement through automated promotions. It emphasizes ease of use and customizable rules, enabling even technically unsavvy merchants to create complex promotional campaigns. Given the high rating and substantial review count, it appears well-received by its user base. Conversely, Nexa ‑ Checkout T&C Checkbox is a compliance tool designed specifically for Shopify Plus stores. It addresses GDPR requirements by enabling merchants to easily add a Terms and Conditions checkbox to their checkout page. This app prioritizes data protection and legal compliance over sales optimization. The lack of reviews and a zero rating suggest it may be a very new app or have had issues with early adoption. Its primary value proposition is simplified GDPR compliance for high-volume merchants using Shopify Plus.

However, if a Shopify Plus merchant's primary concern is GDPR compliance and they need a straightforward way to implement a Terms and Conditions checkbox at checkout, Nexa ‑ Checkout T&C Checkbox may be a suitable option, assuming it proves to be stable and reliable after acquiring more user feedback.
