EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift vs ShareCart ‑ Social Payfor Shopify (2026)
EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift and ShareCart ‑ Social Pay, while both falling under the 'Cart customization' category on Shopify, cater to drastically different needs and target audiences. EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift focuses on incentivizing purchases and increasing order value through automated free gift and BOGO offers. It aims to help merchants boost sales by offering compelling promotions triggered by cart contents or order value. Its primary strength lies in its robust promotion engine and user-friendly interface for creating complex rules. ShareCart ‑ Social Pay, on the other hand, introduces a novel social payment method. It empowers customers to share their carts with others, allowing those individuals to pay for the order. This app targets merchants seeking to leverage social sharing and gifting, particularly in scenarios where customers want to request gifts or enable others to contribute to a purchase. The core value proposition is expanding customer acquisition by capturing information from both the shopper and the payer. However, it should be noted that the app currently lacks any reviews or ratings, suggesting a very new or unproven product.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing immediate sales boosts through proven promotional strategies like BOGO and free gifts, EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift is the clear choice. The high rating and numerous positive reviews indicate a reliable and effective app. However, merchants exploring innovative social commerce strategies and willing to take a risk on a potentially high-reward feature might find ShareCart ‑ Social Pay appealing, especially if they are comfortable being early adopters and providing valuable feedback. Given the lack of reviews for ShareCart, a thorough understanding of its security measures and data privacy practices is crucial before implementation.
Ultimately, the decision hinges on whether the merchant's primary goal is to optimize existing sales tactics or experiment with a new social payment paradigm. If the former, go with EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift. If the latter, proceed cautiously with ShareCart, carefully considering the potential benefits against the inherent risks of adopting an unproven solution.
