Our Verdict
The choice between these two apps depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs. If the primary goal is to increase sales through incentivized offers and automatic free gifts, EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift is the clear choice. Its focus is purely on boosting revenue through strategic offers. However, if the merchant is more concerned with optimizing the checkout process, improving payment option visibility, reducing potential chargebacks, and validating customer information, then Simesy Hide Payment Methods is the better option. It focuses on the checkout's usability and security.
Given the significantly higher number of reviews, EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift appears to be the more widely adopted app, suggesting that a large portion of Shopify merchants are focusing on upselling and free gifts as a primary revenue driver. However, Simesy is a great alternative if fraud prevention is the core need. While both apps are 5/5, adoption rates speak loudly. Simesy seems to be more useful in certain niche scenarios.
