EM Lookbook ‑ Shop by Gallery vs Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reelfor Shopify (2026)
EM Lookbook - Shop by Gallery and Whatmore Shoppable Videos+Reel both enhance the visual appeal of a Shopify store, but they cater to different needs. EM Lookbook likely focuses on static images organized in a gallery format to create lookbooks and shoppable experiences. It has a solid 4.9-star rating, suggesting good performance and user satisfaction, but the review count is relatively low at 153. Whatmore, on the other hand, is heavily focused on video content, specifically shoppable videos sourced from platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok, and offers automated product tagging. Its higher rating of 5/5, along with a larger number of reviews (327), indicates a strong user base and potentially greater satisfaction, possibly due to its automation features. Whatmore's emphasis on video and automation suggests it's targeted towards merchants actively using video marketing, particularly on social media. Its AI-powered product tagging and auto-sync features aim to reduce manual effort. EM Lookbook seems suited for merchants who prefer curated static lookbooks and potentially have fewer existing video assets. The choice between the two hinges on whether a merchant's primary visual strategy revolves around static imagery (EM Lookbook) or dynamically generated video content, especially from platforms like Instagram and TikTok (Whatmore). Furthermore, Whatmore's analytics capabilities provide a better understanding of video engagement and conversion data, which is a valuable asset for data-driven marketers.
