EM Product & Collection Sort vs Rankify Smart Collectionsfor Shopify (2026)
EM Product & Collection Sort and Rankify Smart Collections both aim to help Shopify merchants better manage their product collections, but they take somewhat different approaches and have drastically different social proof at this point in time. EM Product & Collection Sort focuses on a broader, potentially simpler range of features, including manual sorting, automatic sorting by revenue, inventory, and MRP, and pushing down out-of-stock items. It positions itself as a solution for stores needing both automated and manual control with no product sorting limit. Rankify Smart Collections, on the other hand, emphasizes dynamic, rule-based collection management based on a wider array of criteria such as price, inventory, product age, sales, and tags. Its core value proposition seems to be creating dynamic collections that continuously adjust to product data changes via rule sets, and scheduling updates. The limited review data available suggests that users of Rankify Smart Collections have had positive experiences. Based solely on the provided data, EM Product & Collection Sort is a much riskier choice due to its lack of reviews, despite its attractive feature claims.

Our Verdict
Based on the available information, Rankify Smart Collections is the safer choice due to its positive reviews. It seems better suited for merchants with complex collection management needs who want to automate sorting based on a wide range of factors and dynamically adjust their collections based on sales and inventory changes. The rule-based approach offers greater flexibility and control over collection merchandising.
EM Product & Collection Sort might be appealing to merchants who want a simpler approach with a mix of manual and automatic sorting, particularly if they want to easily push out-of-stock products to the bottom and are comfortable taking a risk on a new app with no reviews. However, the lack of reviews makes it difficult to assess its reliability and ease of use. Unless EM Product & Collection Sort acquires a significant number of positive reviews, Rankify Smart Collections is the stronger choice for most merchants.
