EM Product & Collection Sort vs Sortimize Collection Sortfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants choosing a collection sorting app face a clear choice between EM Product & Collection Sort and Sortimize Collection Sort. EM Product & Collection Sort promises a comprehensive solution for both manual and automatic sorting, highlighting its ability to handle unlimited products and push out-of-stock items down. It positions itself as a tool for boosting sales by showcasing top products and prioritizing vendors/tags. However, it lacks user reviews, raising concerns about its reliability and actual performance. Sortimize Collection Sort, on the other hand, boasts a strong 4.8/5 rating based on 8 reviews, emphasizing its dynamic and efficient sorting capabilities, claiming to drastically reduce the time spent on collection management using smart rules and product metrics. The primary difference lies in the user validation and sophistication of sorting rules. While EM Product & Collection Sort lists manual and auto sorting options, Sortimize highlights dynamic smart sort rules, offering advanced features like custom rule creation using product metrics and tags. This suggests Sortimize caters to merchants seeking more automated and data-driven collection optimization. The absence of user feedback for EM Product & Collection Sort poses a significant risk, making Sortimize the safer choice for merchants prioritizing a proven solution. However, EM Product & Collection Sort might appeal to merchants who want to try something new or specifically need vendor/product tag prioritization.

Our Verdict
For most Shopify merchants in 2026, Sortimize Collection Sort is the recommended choice. Its strong rating and existing user base provide confidence in its functionality and effectiveness. The dynamic smart sort rules and ability to create custom rules offer a sophisticated approach to collection optimization, particularly beneficial for merchants focused on data-driven decision-making and maximizing conversion rates.
EM Product & Collection Sort, despite promising features like vendor/tag prioritization, carries a significant risk due to the complete lack of user reviews. It might be suitable only for merchants willing to take a chance on a new app and who are specifically interested in testing vendor/tag prioritization, but they should proceed with caution and be prepared to thoroughly evaluate its performance and reliability.
