EM SelectPro ‑ Product Compare vs QuizShop ‑ Recommender Quizfor Shopify (2026)
EM SelectPro - Product Compare and QuizShop - Recommender Quiz, while both related to product discovery, serve fundamentally different purposes on a Shopify store. EM SelectPro aims to enhance informed decision-making by enabling side-by-side product comparisons, targeting customers already browsing specific products. It emphasizes customizable comparison tables and feature specifications. QuizShop, conversely, focuses on guided selling through interactive quizzes, designed to personalize the shopping experience and capture valuable zero-party data. It targets customers who may be unsure about their needs or overwhelmed by product options. The core difference lies in their approach: EM SelectPro provides a tool for customers to actively compare products they've already identified, whereas QuizShop guides customers toward product discovery through a personalized quiz experience. EM SelectPro relies on product attributes for comparison, while QuizShop uses quiz results and customer input to recommend products. Given the drastically different approaches, merchant evaluation hinges on the problem they're solving: empowering informed decisions between known products or facilitating product discovery through personalized guidance. The apps fall into the 'Product comparison' category, but their applications are vastly different.

Our Verdict
For merchants aiming to empower customers who are already considering specific products, EM SelectPro - Product Compare *could* be beneficial if the customization options are robust and easy to use once the app has had a chance to get reviews. However, given the lack of reviews in 2026, it presents a significant risk. QuizShop - Recommender Quiz is better suited for merchants who want to guide customers towards relevant products, especially those with a large catalog or complex product offerings.
QuizShop's higher rating and user reviews suggest a more established and reliable solution. If driving conversions through personalized recommendations and gathering valuable customer data is a priority, QuizShop is the clear choice. Ultimately, the best app depends on the specific goals and customer journey the merchant wishes to create. If the store already does not have a discovery tool, then QuizShop is the better option.
